We have been fortunate enough to be involved in the projects, where we have highly valued that coat and shoe storage are sought after elements that all coats/jackets, shoes, umbrellas etc. are safely stored away, out of sight. And hallways should not be boring but rather practical with using the space to the absolute maximum. Have an upholstered seat or even side and back panels, when putting shoes on, for that luxurious feel. Add striking or full height mirrors to accentuate the joinery as well as the hallway room. Too, by adding a console table with appropriate lamp can make such a difference. At the end of the day, it should be an area where it can be such a welcoming place to greet and meet your friends & family and should give you a satisfying feeling when entering the house after hard day’s of work.
